12 But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name's sake. 13 This will be a time for you to bear testimony. 14 Settle it therefore in your minds, not to meditate beforehand how to answer; 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict. 16 You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and kinsmen and friends, and some of you they will put to death; 17 you will be hated by all for my name's sake. 18 But not a hair of your head will perish.19 By your endurance you will gain your lives.

In this configuration, our humanity will be transformed in to His divinity. We learn to see everything in the eyes of the Lord. We will be able to identity the work of God in us. Thus every send of our life will be filled with action of grace for all that the Lord has done to us, than looking the miseries. It is not that our pains get reduced or removed, rather our orientation is changed and we learn to look everything in a large perspective of life, coming out of ourselves and look in others what the Lord wants us to do for them. Thus systematically we forget our pains and se learn to sympathize and empathize with others. It is here we endure all the persecution and calamities addressed towards us, because the Lord gives us the strength to bear everything and most importantly we discover that the Lord is fighting for us.
